Hello There!

I’m Oğulcan Büyüksandalyacı. A game enthusiast who was born as a gamer, lives as a gamer, and probably will die as a gamer. I was recently awarded the Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Sciences from Koc University and I'm currently doing my masters at the University of Utah as a Game Producer. Thanks to my passion for playing, designing and developing video games, I am now using the knowledge I gained to create them.

My Background

I’m a current grad student in the Entertainment Arts and Engineering (EAE) program, at the University of Utah. I got my the Bachelor’s of Engineering in Computer Sciences at the Koc University in Istanbul, Turkey.

I chose my major, “Computer Sciences and Engineering”, to have a shot at becoming a full stack game developer in the future. Correspondingly, I proposed a game idea for my senior design project. After the evaluations, it was awarded the 3rd place of senior project awards. With no “Game Development” undergraduate programs in Turkey, the computer science program was the most beneficial for my purpose. Having played numerous amount of games in my life time, and still doing so lovingly, I enrolled into the engineering track of the EAE program at the University of Utah. Then I decided to switch to game production track, out of my love for people in general, my organizational skills in projects and the passion I have for exchanging ideas while designing games. I want to contribute to the gaming society by taking my skills in game development to the next level. Eventually, I want to work for companies that are developing AAA games.

I also have experience in professional game development environments. I worked at a company called Kartek Technologies, who were developing hyper-casual mobile games for IOS and Android. In four months, I had prototyped and developed six different games, thus gained more confidence with my potential to become a Game Developer in the future.
